Pakistan is currently the country with the highest child mortality rates. Newborns have a 1 in 22 chance of death (According to the most recent UNICEF report). The Children of Pakistan face various health problems due to such things as pollution, malnutrition, and low vaccination rates.
Syed Mehdi Raza, President and Chief Executive of the International Institute of Child Health (IICH), wants to change the statistics.
IICH’s motto is compassion first. Once completed, this establishment shall be the first of its kind in the Region, and shall provide accessible health care free of charge for the children of Karachi.
